TypeDelta is an independent project built to help people measure and improve their typing speed. We believe in being 100% upfront about how our tests are scored, what our speed certificates represent, and how we fund our free platform through Google AdSense and optional hardware affiliate links.
The typing speed benchmarks, accuracy diagnostics, WPM calculations, and developer syntax drills on TypeDelta are provided for personal educational, practice, and skill-building purposes. While we adhere strictly to the international 5-keystroke-per-word standard and minimize browser latency, real-world typing speeds naturally vary across different keyboard switch types, keycap profiles, operating systems, and physical ergonomics.
TypeDelta generates high-resolution, verifiable Speed Certificates based on standardized 5-minute and 10-minute examination passages. These credentials record your actual browser-measured WPM and accuracy during that specific test session.
TypeDelta is an independent testing tool and is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by any state civil service board, court reporting agency, or private employer. Employers, staffing agencies, and universities maintain full discretion regarding the acceptance of digital certificates for employment or credit.
To keep TypeDelta 100% free for students, job applicants, and developers worldwide, we display programmatic banner advertising through Google AdSense.
The display of commercial advertisements on TypeDelta does not constitute an endorsement or warranty of the advertised products or services. We maintain a strict rule that advertisements will never be placed inside or over the active typing area to prevent accidental clicks and protect your typing rhythm.
In our Pro Performance Gear section and keyboard switch guides, we evaluate mechanical keyboards, switches, and ergonomic accessories based on authentic physical testing by keyboard enthusiasts.
Some outbound links to keyboards or switch packs may be affiliate links. If you choose to purchase an item through these links, TypeDelta may receive a modest referral commission at zero additional cost to you. These commissions help pay for our WebSocket server hosting and ongoing development. We never accept paid reviews or recommend hardware we do not genuinely believe in.
